Why Holiday homes need this service
- Mesh fitted to the module frame on both shingle and manufactured-home roofs
- Especially common near the Anclote River marsh edge
- Existing nesting material removed and the area sanitized before installation
The marsh and mangrove edges near the Anclote River push wildlife toward dry rooftop gaps throughout Holiday. We seal the array perimeter with black PVC-coated mesh to keep animals out.
Open Gulf salt spray
Key Vista and Gulf Trace face open water with virtually no buffer, and the salt film here builds faster than almost anywhere else in our Pasco coverage — often within weeks rather than months.
Anclote River tidal marsh drift
Homes near the Anclote River mouth pick up a brackish, organic-tinged film distinct from clean open-Gulf salt, and it tends to hold biological growth longer in shaded corners.
US-19 corridor traffic film
The inland side of Holiday along US-19 deals with standard commercial traffic grime rather than salt, a sharp contrast to the waterfront neighborhoods a mile away.
Mostly 1970s through 1990s single-story shingle roofs on modest ranch-style homes, with a meaningful share of manufactured-home communities set back from the waterfront along the US-19 corridor. Coastal homes in Key Vista and Gulf Trace often sit low with limited setback from tidal marsh, which affects both roof condition and how fast salt film returns after cleaning.
Rigid galvanized steel mesh with a black powder-coat finish, sized to the exact perimeter of your array so it reads as part of the system rather than a bolt-on cage. The mesh is secured with stainless steel clips that grip the panel frame directly. Nothing is drilled into your roof and no penetrations are created that could later leak.
Guarding an occupied array just traps the problem inside. Every install starts with removing nests, droppings and debris from under the modules, sanitising the deck area, and checking for chewed conductors or damaged conduit while we have the access.
Holiday sits outside Hillsborough County, so a $50–$100 travel fee applies depending on routing. Booking alongside a neighbour usually removes it.
